What to bring into Saudi Arabia, and at what price

Shelf Price Intelligence is for importers, distributors and brand owners deciding what to import into Saudi Arabia, from where, when to land it, and at what shelf price it can sell after duty, VAT and the retailer's margin.

Every figure comes from public sources or our own capture: UN Comtrade trade data, ZATCA duty lines, the chains' own websites and retailer leaflets. The site holds no client data and shows no unchecked figure.

Four questions, answered per category

1. Market

How big is it, and how much is imported?

Imports, local production and exports in tonnes and value, 2023 to 2025, so the apparent market is one number and its parts are visible.

2. Origin and price

Where do imports come from, and at what border price?

Origin countries by value and tonnes, and the CIF price per kg by month, 2023 to the latest month reported.

3. Timing

When does demand peak, and when must stock land?

Monthly import index on the Gregorian and the Islamic calendar, with the stock build before Ramadan and the 2027 event dates.

4. Shelf

What do shoppers pay, how deep are promotions, and what is left for the importer?

Shelf prices with pictures at grocery and pharmacy chains, leaflet promotion depth and frequency, and the bridge from border price to shelf.
